The exhibitions are a part of the project  “Aleš Veselý – Without Beginning, Without End”, which is being organized jointly by:  Galerie 1. patro, Galerie Millennium, Galerie Villa Pellé, Galerie Zlatá husa

The extensive exhibition maps the work of Aleš Veselý simultaneously in four Prague galleries. The character and content renders each of the exhibitions unique. The complete project is thus able to offer several aspects of the author’s extensive work from the 1960s until the present time.

Aleš Veselý (born 1935, in Prague)

The sculptor, whose monumental work speaks for him, entered the Czech fine arts scene at the end of the 1950s and in the early 1960s. Very soon he became a key personality of the generation that brought characteristic stimuli connected to the trends of European Informel Art. In his monumental works Veselý often turns to the roots of Judaism and to the search for the meaning of human existence. His work is represented in a number of foremost art institutions, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, and the National Gallery in Prague.

Exhibition of the author´s contemporary work. Spatial and a drawing „thoughts“ in a form of small objects, models and drawings representing new monumental sculptures.

The artist will be present at the guided tours of the exhibitions on October 1st and 10th, starting at 2 pm.
