The successful exhibition Ondřej Sekora Known and Unknown has arrived at the Slovak gallery Danubiana
The exhibition Ondřej Sekora Known and Unknown, which introduces the author of the legendary cartoon character Ferdy Ant, writer, journalist, cartoonist and illustrator of children’s books, has headed to Slovakia after its successful presentation at the Villa Pellé Gallery. From 7 June, it will be offered to visitors at the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum in Bratislava. The large-scale exhibition project, which attracted more than 12,000 visitors to our gallery last year, was prepared by Villa Pellé in cooperation with curator Tomáš Prokůpek. In addition to Sekorova’s iconic work, known to several generations of Czechs and Slovaks, it also presents his almost unknown works. It offers book illustrations, newspaper drawings and cartoons, as well as puppets created according to Sekor’s designs. The exhibition entitled Ondřej Sekora Known and Unknown will be open to the public at the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum until 1 September 2024.
