IN PROGRES: KARÍMA AL-MUKHTAROVÁ: THROUGH THE BODY 19. 3.–27.4.

The forthcoming exhibition by Karima Al-Mukhtarová (*1989) will present the artist’s current work, reflecting on her experience during her residency at Villa Karo in Benin in 2024. The works presented are mostly new works created especially for the exhibition at Villa Pellé. In these works, Karíma develops her own techniques and enriches them with new methods and strategies she learned in Africa. This constructive dialogue allows the viewer to learn about different cultural approaches. The emphasis is on carpets and handmade objects that connect the material and symbolic levels.
